I’m not a big breakfast eater. I don’t like eggs and I’m not a big pastry or high carb (aka bread) person. Right now my favorite breakfast has been making myself a smoothie. I call them green smoothies because I usually add kale or spinach to them but many times the color of the smoothie isn’t really green.
This week’s smoothie consisted of:
1 cup almond milk
1 cup mixed berries, frozen
4 cups of kale or spinach
2-4T of flax seed or a flax seed mixture (I’ve been using Linwoods Flax, walnuts, almonds and goji berries)
Put it all in a blender and blend away.
If I’m going to have a really busy morning and lunch might run a bit late, then I’ll add in some protein powder.
