This was really good. I served it with the mini meatloaf. My husband compared it to a salsa. I’m not a fan of raw radishes but in this dish they worked really good and I actually enjoyed them.
Spicy Cabbage Salad
· 1oz cabbage, shredded
· 1oz tomatoes, chopped
· 1oz radishes, chopped
· 1oz green onions, chopped
· Apple cider vinegar
· Lime juice
· Dash of Salt
· Frank’s Red Hot Sauce
Mix the vegetables in a bowl. Whisk the vinegar, lime juice, salt and hot sauce together. Pour over the vegetables and mix well.
My lunch – packed in advance. Meatloaf and Spicy Cabbage Salad
I know this is an older post, but I hope you still read the comments. I just want to let you know how much my daughter and I enjoy this recipe. Neither of us like radishes by themselves, but we love them in the slaw. They add a nice pungency to the cabbage, and bonus – if you make extra and leave it in the fridge for a few days, the slaw turns a beautiful shade of pink. Thanks so much for your wonderful recipes – we’ve tried several of them. You’re making our HCG dropping experience so much easier!
PS – I leave out the onions, add a little onion powder, and up the cabbage to 2 ounces per serving. And I add some celery seed to the dressing as I’m mixing it. And since I like slaw on the sweet side, I add a packet or two of stevia.
Vicki recently posted…Project vs. Process
Thanks so much Vicki. I really appreciate the note letting me know that you and your daughter are enjoying my recipes, especially the Spicy Cabbage Salad. I never ate radishes before I started the Omni Drops. I also love them in this salad and when I boil them and mash like a potato.
Good luck to you and your daughter.
How many calories is the meatloaf?
I am not sure. You could always put it into a recipe builder program and have it calculate the calories for you. I don’t count calories, so I’ve never looked it up.
